For the hall of the Radisson Blu in Andermatt, Calanca gneiss in a blasted finish was chosen for slip resistance. The combination of the Calanca gneiss with the wood has enhanced its strong character, given by the pronounced veining and coloring. The material was also used as vertical cladding in the bathrooms, in some niches and walls in the restaurant and in the elevators.
